T strainers are designed to remove solid contaminants from pipeline systems while providing a larger filtration area and greater debris-holding capacity than Y strainers. Their compact T-shaped configuration offers efficient filtration with low pressure loss, making them suitable for higher-flow and heavier-duty applications. Compared to basket strainers, T strainers require less installation space, while unlike temporary cone strainers, they are intended for continuous, long-term operation.
