Basket strainers are permanent filtration units designed to remove rust, scale, welding slag, and other debris from process fluids, protecting pumps, heat exchangers, flow meters, and other critical equipment. Their large filtration area and high dirt-holding capacity enable higher flow rates, heavier contamination loads, and longer cleaning intervals with minimal pressure drop. Compared to Y, T, and cone strainers, basket strainers are better suited for applications with high debris volumes and offer easier maintenance, particularly in larger pipeline systems.
